Cpt. Don Cunningham, US Army, Medically Retired, opened a drop zone at Pine Bluff, NC. Don, advisor to an ARVN rifle battalion was wounded in the neck, evacuated by Vietnamese on a poncho litter, broke his neck moving to the medevac bird. Don paralyzed from waist down taught me, a Vietnam Vet, who may have returned walking, but dead inside how to live again and many other Vietnam veterans to skydive from his wheel chair and two way radio. This is a story about Don many do not know about him unless you served in hell and walked out.
