Midland

When the local club lost its access to the Mint Hill airport, about 1972-73, they built their own runway in a nearby area called "Midland." There were two Cessna 182s there that were fueled out of Jerry cans filled at the local gas station--several years prior to the first issuance of "MOGAS" STCs.
