Lakeland

In the early seventies a number of us discovered a great DZ in Lakeland, FL very close to the Interstate. It was run by Mike Marcon and he had a sweet Cessna 180. Mike very generously offered hop and pops for 75 cents before noon. Lakeland was the site of a number of accuracy meets and the occasional "hit and chug" event.
