'Way out in the country from Goldsboro and Kinston, NC, there was an excellent seafood restaurant named, "Big Daddy's." The owner had a grass strip behind the place, so that people could fly in for a meal. For a time in the '70s and '80s, he allowed skydivers to use the place as a DZ. I believe that he discontinued the practice because of insurance/liability concerns.
