Dublin

Skydiving began at Dublin VA airport around 1962. It was a club operation under the New River Skydivers. Stanley King was the President. Members included Ralph Hagar, Dan Sumner, Dick Williams and others. Dan and I made the first baton pass in Virginia and the club made demo jumps around the area. I got my water jump at a Claytor Lake demo. Later in the late 1960's John Stanford ran the drop zone which I believe was associated with Gene Paul Thacker's operation at Raeford NC.
